RIP Satoshi Kon [1963-2010]

It was very sad to read about the death last week of Japanese manga artist/anime director Satoshi Kon.
He directed the animated features Perfect Blue [1998], Millennium Actress [2001], Tokyo Godfathers [2003], Paprika [2006] (a big inspiration for Christopher Nolan for his movie Inception) and the 13-part anime series Paranoia Agent [2004].
I first read about it at one of my favourite websites Tokyo Mango. Shortly after that, TM posted a translation of Kon's final words.

Me too. I've actually had a copy of it for months but hadn't got around to watching it. It's sad that it often takes a death to light a fire under people's butts to motivate them to check out the artist's work.
