Blackguard #1 Printing BS

The quest for another printer continues - the Hong Kong dude (#2) said forget it, and we're still waiting for the Indian dude (#3) to get back to us. In the meantime I asked the Chinese dude (#1) to let me know which strips/pages he had a problem with. I figured it would be one or two, or maybe three. But he came back with a list of 15 pages. That's more than one third of the freaking comic. Among the strips he objected to were the ones I had figured, like Khe Sanh's homoerotic freakout, and SCAR's mutant lesbians urinating on a priest's semi-erect cock, but some of the 'objectionable' stuff was total bullshit. One of my own strips about Shoko Asahara and his Aum Shinrikyo cult concluded with a panel featuring Asahara with a Japanese flag sticking out the end of his dick, that was a problem. David Puckeridge was guilty of drawing a strip about the Pope that included a drawing of a nude male statue (a Michelangelo's 'David' tribute). Oh my god, somebody call the cops! And if Funbo had his way, I would have had to shitcan two of four Doug Iannucci strips. Bull. Shit.

So it's a mega bunch of bullshit, to put it mildly. And next weekend is the Newcastle zine fair and I've got nothing but my story of how lame and unfair printers can be. Fuckity-fuck.

Anyway, I am gonna get this thing printed somehow. And you'll be the first to know when I find a way.
