In other news, O great day! Why? Well because Ross Tesoriero has 'signed on' for Blackguard #1. Sick Puppy readers will already be familiar with his wonderful, *monstrous* comix art. Those not familiar are in for a treat!
In other news, my call for comix/zines for review has already borne fruit, albeit of a somewhat bewildering and disappointing kind. Something called About 2 Days arrived in the Blackguard PO box this week. It's a minicomic in a Japanese/manga style. And it's 8 pages. Only eight frigging pages! Now here's a lesson I thought everybody knew already: the 'mini' in 'minicomic' (as I understand it) means smaller size comic, not smaller page count. What the fuck are these people thinking? Well, it wouldn't matter so much if the contents were cool, but they're not. Some guy whines to a girl about something that happened between them five years ago, my curiosity to learn more of these characters' story was not aroused, and in the end 'awkward' was spelled 'akward.' ... Being so negative makes me feel somewhat 'akward' myself, you know, but let's be honest, eh? I got the feeling from this production that it was nothing more than two design students fucking around at the expense of readers who enjoy comics.
If anybody thinks they can do better, they would be welcome to send their stuff to:
