A Good Mail Day today indeed. Here's an envelope I received from Randy Robbins. Some pretty damn cool postage stamps there (and uncancelled! but sorry Randy, I'm not returning them - this envelope goes straight into the Archives). I've heard of Carmen Miranda, but Celia Cruz? Selena? Who they? What kind of stamp issue is this? Hispanic singers? I love them anyway. I love the polar bear stamp, too.
And the curious "Count it! $3.76" Randy has written. What does he mean? Who is this directed to? I love a mystery!

I remember when Celia Cruz died a few years back, Union City (the town down the road from me here in Jersey, which is about 98% Hispanic) nearly collapsed in grief. It was like Iran when the Ayatollah died.
